When I was 8 years old I took my first picture of my dad winning the city golf tournament! From then on, I was the girl always making scrapbooks and the teacher capturing 33 years of smiles on my student’s faces. Eventually, I became the mom trying to capture every milestone, ballgame, birthday and really every waking moment of my children’s lives.

I retired from teaching just before the pandemic so I like to say I had a crystal ball. During the pandemic, like many people, I had more time to reflect and binge on shows etc…I did those things but I also took pictures every day. These weren’t photos I would display unless you appreciate kids laying around, lots of masked humans and pictures of my yard. But this is when it became apparent that I needed to do something with my lifelong passion and Scoring Smiles Photography emerged.

Now, I’m thrilled to say that my photography has come full circle, often back to a golf course, baseball field, or gymnasium to take photos of young athletes. I love capturing these moments for others as much as I did for myself!
